Architectural studio Zaha Hadid presented their new project – the headquarters of “Bee’ah”, one of the leading companies in the Middle East. This business Education Center is located on the periphery of desert in the north of the United Arab Emirates. These buildings that look like a desert dunes are completely supplied by a renewable energy sources.
The futuristic complex with a total area of 7,000 square meters is designed to take full advantage of the Shamal winds energy.
The two largest “Dunes” will be used for work and education. At the point of their cross-section, there will have “green oasis”, designed to enhance the flow of the air through the buildings. This approach will reduce the need of mechanical cooling and also will reduce the energy consumption.
Thanks to the cleverly curved lines, this complex will have “quality daylight”, and in the same time will be protected from the strong light. Walls will be covered with materials that reflect the suns rays.
Around the “Dunes” will have PV cells that accumulate the solar energy, which is necessary for the lighting and electric power in the complex. With that, the power consumption will be reduced for 30 percent.
Self sustaining commercial property became an imperative of the modern construction. So, the IT giant Google is building a new office in Silicon Valley -Googleplex. And near by Cupertino, the company Apple also is building a new campus. A new representative office soon will have Amazon, because in the center of Seattle Amazon is building three futuristic bio-domes skyscrapers, as well as other business facilities by this giant online store.
