Nowadays it is hard to achieve modern design in the house if we not predict changes in the floor plan. This is necessary because the old separated rooms are not modern and not comfortable at all. We see them today as little boxes separated by doors. By removing some part of the wall, and in some cases its complete removal, we will make the small and narrow apartment to look like a spacious and comfortable place to live. Today we will see one example of an effective reorganization of the floor plan.
The apartment is on the 21-st floor of a residential building in Moscow. My first impression of this home designed by architects of the Design Studio Interierium is that it has a strong character with combination of “usefull” and pleasant interior. The apartment is 60 m² and the main goal of the designers was to maximize the efficiency of each and every corner.
Because we do not have pictures of the floor plan of the house before the renovation I will share with you the most important things. The kitchen and the dining room are moved next to the hall, and the integrated bedroom replace the old kitchen. The bedroom is open to the living room with this renovation, but it could easily become a separated room thanks to the mobile wood panels. Thus the owner can enjoy in the modern home theater system from the living room and from the bedroom too.
What initially drew my attention to this interior design are materials and the brave colour scheme. Designers combined slate, concrete, travertine and wood in one project. This bold combination of materials created a warm and cozy atmosphere, despite the modern and minimalist atmosphere in some parts.
Take a look at the pictures and enjoy to the well-organized interior that shows modern style, with an integrated LED lighting and some interesting decorative items.
Sharing is caring !!!
