House on water is not that unusual thing in Copenhagen. We can notice many small boats transformed in comfortable houses while we walk around the city besides the ashore. One such example is this modern houseboat that owns the couple Lisbeth Juul and Laust Nørgaard. They also are architects and designers of this house. Unlike the classic ships this house attracts with its modern architecture. It has a view over the beautiful skyline of the Danish capital.
The houseboat has long and high windows that offer a wonderful view over the water panorama and close connection with the nature. This couple has the opportunity to dive in the clear water every morning, and to start their day refreshed and energized. High windows fill the place with sunlight. They give warmth, liveliness and freshness to the place in the long dark winter days.
Its interior is divided in five areas – a bedroom, a hallway, a bathroom, a kitchen with a dining room and a living room with spacious terrace. The lovely terrace gives the opportunity to the couple to enjoy in the quiet nature and water. The design of this house is minimalistic with the typical Scandinavian style.
This spacious home on water has wooden walls and occasional industrial details with Scandinavian style. The kitchen is a mixture of the Scandinavian and industrial style. The living room and the dining room has furniture that is mixture of retro with modern items as well as the popular Eames chairs.
In this interior dominates the fresh white colour which is typical for the Scandinavian style. It is revived with the colourful chairs and some playful elements in different colours in the kitchen, and the clear yellow floor in the bathroom.
